MAC - how long?

[link to this post]

Hi,

I have recently (yesterday) asked for a MAC code as I am considering migrating from PN. Does anyone know how long it generally takes to be issued with a MAC please?

Cheers.

It can take up to 5 days but we generally process MAC requests within 48-72 hours. Any reason why you're leaving us? Anything I can look into for you?

The above post has been made by an ISP REPRESENTATIVE (although not necessarily the ISP being discussed in the post).

Thanks Chris.

No real issues, other than it's not that fast (my router is connecting at much higher speeds than the 3500 kbps my sync speed is set at).

The main reason is cost, as you can't really compete with the price that I can pay for the similar service (I know this can be argued over) I can get from Sky or indeed my employer (Orange).

You will find the forums on here give a good idea about how ISP's perform. Orange are going by the forums here and also other websites one of the worst ISP's in the country with poor speeds, customer service etc. If you are looking at cutting costs SKY are a more reliable bet.
