The PUG FAQ

Is there such a thing? All the links in their article point to the Community website or the main Plusnet website.

Oh I'm mistaken about who operates it. I thought it was PUG that did the Community site. Point still stands though I think, from the product description pages the FAQ and descriptions of the product make no mention of the upload speed offered with the product smile.

Hmmm, that does seem a little tricky to find!

From the our website navigate to the fibre pages, click the hyperlink for the fibre FAQ and then under question 8 you'll find:

8. Is traffic managed?

Like all our broadband services, Plusnet Fibre traffic is managed on our network. This is to guarantee all customers get a good quality and sustainable service. For more information read our Guide to Traffic Management.

From the 'Guide to Traffic Management' page, click the Broadband Experience hyperlink and then Upload Speeds hyperlink (it's at the bottom of that page).

Then give yourself a medal wink

I'll see if this can be made more prominent...

Are the Plusnet Extra product is now on line speed all day from midnight until 6pm Monday to Sunday for everything. As I know unlimited and line speed was from midnight until 8am Monday to Sunday.

Sound like the traffic management will kick in at 6pm till midnight Monday till Sunday. Am I correct here ?

Extra isn't at line speed at all times unless you buy the Pro add-on - you can see the expected speeds for both here: http://www.plus.net/support/broadband/speed_guide/do...

Peak times are still from 8am to Midnight, though you can see the times different protocols are shaped on the tables linked above.

Hope that helps,

Just been looking at these and, curiously, "streaming" is more aggressively managed on Extra Fibre than on Value Fibre. Is this a mistake?

It doesn't seem right, so we're getting someone to look into it. Thanks for pointing out.

Are the Pro Add-On come with 20GB usage allowance per month (or will it count as 60GB on top of Extra for a fiver extra per month) ?

The add-on will make all the usage (on whichever of the products you are on) at line speed. So this could be 10GB, 40GB, 60GB or 120GB for Value, Value Fibre, Extra and Extra Fibre.
