problems with anti-spam

I'm getting bounces from plusnet telling me that my mail server is blacklisted. Reported this to my ISP who have spoken to cloudmark and were told that it isnt blacklisted by them.

Tried emailing postmaster/abuse and got bounced because I'm on cloudmarks blacklist.

Looking at your forum you're trialing new antispam.

Thought you should know that you are blocking real emails.

I can see the IP address of 77.75.108.3 (admin is UKFSN) is currently listed in a handful of RBLs.

As Martin has mentioned, that IP has appeared on a number of blacklists, currently still listed by at least one.

Thats an interesting response from your ISP though. They can easily check which RBL's they're listed on as Martin and I did.

Seems like someone has been confused. They can instigate the necessary actions to have the listing removed, so next step is down to them. I'm sure if you speak to Jason he'll get it sorted.

Can you confirm which blacklist is causing me the problem emailing plusnet addresses?

The message says Cloudmark.
Jason says that the IP isn't on Cloudmark's Blacklist.

Cloudmark doesnt maintain a block list so Jason would be correct in that regard. Thats not what Cloudmark do.

Cloudmark only provides statistics reset and not IP address removal as CSI is a reputation service, not a block list.

Your ISP needs to get its self removed from the blacklists it appears on.

Unfortunately the DNSBL our server is listed on is run by scammers - what else can you call those who demand payment to have the listing reviewed/removed?

I'm surprised anyone is using such an DNSBL at all let alone a large ISP.

Plusnet do find themselves blocked from time to time by other ISPs because they appear on such lists and they deal with it! I suggest you tell your ISP to do the same.

Well, reconfigure your mail server so that it doesn't backscatter.

Then around the 28th nov, you'll be removed from the list for free.
