Fair enough - there's no way for a member of our support team to keep the static IP during an account change to fibre. It's possible that one could be added afterwards (though unlikely) but even if it was it's almost certain to be a different IP to the one that was removed.

It's a bit of a pet peave of mine when people say it is impossible because the system doesn't allow it when we know that the IT systems could be changed. Your second response is much better - don't have a problem with something being taken as a business decision but to blame it on the computer is unfair (I kind of like computers and will of course fight for their rights wink ).

It's the same on Be (ADSL2+) for some reason. Static is not available on the Value package, but is on the top two. On O2 it isn't tere at all, tough the dynamic is extremely sticky on all (LLU,I don't know about Access) packages. Unless you change router. Then changing back often gets the previous address.

At least PN has fibre.
