Is the static IP the default, or a free requestable option?

Dynamic IP is default. A static IP is available for one off fee of £5, which is quite reasonable imo.

Unlimited usage with no traffic management for £18 a month over BT Wholesale? Should be interesting.

Hi
Is there an equivalent to Plusnets Current line speed ie a copy of the BRAS profile on your account admin pages?

Thanks in advance

Hi. No, that view is not available. I do like the usage reporting though, categorises which type of traffic you're using most. Wonder how the Ellacoyas impact on the service though - that's an awful lot of DPI going on!

Indeed. My parents were paying £30 to UKFSN just for ADSL previously, this came with a 60gb peak cap (08:00-00:00 Mon-Fri). Now, John Lewis offers unlimited for £18 and with the phone line service the total comes to £36. For those in non LLU areas that's a pretty damn good deal.

Lets hope it doesn't go the way of O2 Access et all, i.e. congestion so bad the service is essentially unusable. I wonder how this traffic is handled on Plusnet's network, because if heavy users start flocking to John Lewis then the Plusnet network as a whole could suffer badly.

Agreed, however, a lot of heavy users will be in LLU areas in my experience - ie, students and so forth. If you're in an LLU area, then there are better deals available. John Lewis' product is appealing to those affluent John Lewis customers who live in the sticks smile
