Router stats - where are they?

I recently changed over to Plusnet Fibre..can anyone tell me where i can find my sync speed on the router page?

I've accessed the page 192.168.1.254 entered the username and password but i can't find where my syncing details are?

You can't! They are in the modem for which there is no interface to get them in the standard Openreach VADSL modem.

Is there anyway to check i'm syncing at what Plusnet said i should be syncing at?

You could always do a BT speedtest and add 11.8% to the resultant line profile.

You are basing that on IPP = 88.2% x Sync.

But you don't do inverse by adding 100% - 88.2% to IPP. You need to divide IPP by 88.2%.

Therefore you need to add 13.4% to IPP.

However, while this is true for WBC, is this also true for FTTC?

I think on fibre you add about 3% to get the sync speed

I've no personal experience of Fibre but I observe those on 40 Meg FTTC get IPPs between 37 - 38 Meg.

So it would seem you need to add between 5 - 8 % to IPP.

At least my attempt was as good as a 100% "You can't!" In the case of my 14.5Mb line profile, it is the difference between showing a sync of 16.2 and 16.4, which I would think would be a small enough margin to satisfy the OP that he was getting near enough his quoted speed. Though I realise that like all posts, there is always someone that knows better.

Seems like an assumption/guess to me, which is worse than "Fallacious arithmetic!"
