ASA is who you should have written to, as they investigate and make public the findings and can block the same tactics.

Perhaps I wasn't clear. I got two doorsteppers within a couple of weeks, they both started right off by saying 'Are you interested in free broadband?' so I'm guessing it was part of a script. Once they get going they break into some kind of faraddidle about their all-in-one packages being so cheap the BB bit is effectively free blah blah... so just a ruse to get people talking.
Could you tell me who the ASA is? I'd certainly contact them with my experience if you think it would be worthwhile?
