PS3 and Technicolor

After having to replace the netgear I had I am now using the technicolor router from my FTTC.
I tried to connect up my PS3 to the router but cannot get a wireless connection to the box for system updates etc.
I have tried configuring manually but still cannot connect.

Is there a configuration change I need to make to the router?

Also if i wanted to go back to my old router, Can i simply plug in and it will connect? I tried before and it would not establish a link to our FTTC connection.

Yes, if you haven't changed any of its settings it should just work.

Yes i have other devices connected. The technicolor has dropped out twice showing just the power light. Called CS and they are going to replace it.
