Then I would say your line seems to be performing as it should be. Was there something else that made you feel it isn't? If not then sit back and enjoy it - if you really want extra speed in future then you could always buy the FTTP upgrade that is coming in the spring

It should of been 46-47 mbps and like you said before. So what was the point of this thread? Was it just to keep your records? You are getting the speeds promised. There is nowt that PN can or will do; they need their efforts concentrated on the users who do have issues.
P.S. You are actually getting speeds over a billion (10^9) times what you think .

It was my speed tests that were not mtaching what my line stats said.
As for the cabinet, no way to tell how far it is but I was told by BT openreach it's round the corner from me. Few minutes walk.

Ray please don't start with that nonsense again, about other issues. It's for both and the clever ones, to give expert opinion on my line. They can close the ticket in a few days if it's not an issue.

Expert opinion sync is just a few hundred kilo bits per second away from the quoted speed at signup, so no case for investigation of a fault.

Your speed tests WILL NEVER match the line stats for reasons we have explained before.
If you want a service where the advertised speed matches the speed that speed tests give, then even spending £1000 a month does not give that guarantee as no provider has control over the PC you are using.

I think the experts have pronounced... your (end-to-end) speed test results are entirely consistent with the line stats from your VDSL modem, and your line sync speed indicated in the VDSL stats is entirely consistent with the expected speed promised by PlusNet when you signed up. So to answer your original post, everything looks good and there is nothing wrong with the performance of your line.

It was my speed tests that were not mtaching what my line stats said. That will never happen. You have to allow for the overheads of PTM, PPPoE, IPv4 and TCP, so the TCP throughput measured by a speed test cannot equal the sync speed.
As has been explained ad nauseam, you are buying a contended service so cannot expect full theoretical throughput at all times.

Lol I will see what PN thinks as well but I will close the ticket if adam comes on here and says the same sort of thing.
Anyway it's been a very long time but some providers used to be able to adjust your profiles, mostly LLU, so what about that? Or no no on BT networks? Forgot what it was now.

Lol I will see what PN thinks as well How many times do you have to be told the same thing before you believe it?
