Does the admin username for Plusnet routers allow one to get full stats, like the SuperUser name does for o2? And for using RouterStats?

As installed, you cannot get line stats on FTTC, unless you are with Sky and apparently also TalkTalk.

That's because line stats exist within the modem, or the modem component of a modem/router such as the O2 box. "Cable" routers such as are used on FTTC do not have access to them.

Sky (and TT?) have access to them at their end and seemingly echo them back to their supplied routers.

If you have an HG612 modem that is easy to hack and get all sorts of useful stuff. If you have an ECI one hacking that is less easy.

My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk | Domains,website and mail hosting - Tsohost.
Connection - Plusnet UnLim Fibre (FTTC). Sync ~ 53.4/16.8Mbps @ 600m. - BQM

I believe so. As I said, the O2 setup was their own special, to hide things from admin. A stupid PITA!

Just to add: I ordered the 30m extension kit on sign up. (To plug the BT modem in a different room)

The BTO chap informed me they don't do that and if I want an extension socket there its £100.

I wouldn't hold my breath on this part of the service!

That's a badly-misinformed BTO chap then.

It seems that the fact an extension kit has been ordered gets lost on occasion. But I don't think I've seen a BTO guy not know about it at all before. Contractors, yes, but Openreach staff, no.
