Is that the same server on speedtest.net as you can end up on different servers in different locations affecting the latency measurement

The latency can depend on how busy the speedtest server is too. The latency is still at a range where it shouldn't be effecting your online experience.

I'd also suggest trying one at http://speedtest.btwholesale.com to see if there's any difference there.

did 2 test on bt

1 with virus checker on 37.77 down 5.58 up 45.63 ping

with virus disabled 37.54 down 5.63 up 28.75 ping

at least speed not jumping all over the place now, just ping seams to be getting higher

Servers do vary greatly.

I get 7ms from the London- Ealing server on speedtest.net and 20ms~ on the London-Vodafone one.

Plusnet FTTC 72/18Mbps

2 weeks on and latency gone up and speed gone down
