Re: Plusnet LRS

Correct, the new LRS is simply Line Rental only, no calls are included.

Chris, Might I suggest that your Web-Site is not particularly clear??

As an example, for Plusnet Anytime, I apparently get:-
Anytime calls to UK landlines^
0870/0845 calls included all the time^
Free calls to Plusnet Support
25% off top international call destinations^

Plus £14.50 a month line rental.

Where the link in the "line rental" gives:-

Line Rental

When you switch your phone service to Plusnet you'll pay line rental to us, instead of your current provider. Pay £14.50 monthly or save money with Line Rental Saver.

Line Rental Saver

Pay for 12 months line rental in advance for £131.88, equivalent to a monthly price of £10.99 (only available online).

Call features and call charges will still be billed monthly

On that basis, had I not read your post, I would have reasonably expected that the comparison between Line Rental & Line Rental Saver was on a "like-for-like" basis (i.e. if free calls were part of the Line Rental, then they would also be part of Line Rental Saver), because it IS directly comparing the £14.50 monthly figure with the equivalent £10.99 figure!!

That isn't what it says here http://community.plus.net/forum/index.php/topic,1147...
Line Rental Saver has increased to £131.88 (equivalent of £10.99pcm) and will not feature any included calls apart from those to Plusnet support and other Plusnet customers (you can add the 'Plusnet Anytime', 'Plusnet Anytime International' or 'Mobile' bolt-on).

Am I missing something or does your post just confirm what I said that there are no included calls on LRS?

I would like to add my voice to those who have said the website needs to be made much clearer on this point, which I hadn't picked up until today. I am an LRS customer so presumably will be stung by this at my next renewal.

Presume people are happy with the wording

"Line Rental Saver can reduce the cost of the telephone line (£131.88 per year, equivalent to £10.99 per month). Line Rental Saver does not include any inclusive calls, Evenings and Weekends or Anytime call bundles can be added."

Which we've added to our PlusNet listings where line rental is mentioned

You shouldn't be http://community.plus.net/forum/index.php/topic,1147...
2. I'm part way through my LRS contract and it's up for renewal soon, what happens when it expires? will I have to pay the new price?

No, your Line Rental Saver will remain at the price you currently pay (£125.88) and you'll remain on the older call tariff with Evening & Weekend calls.

Indeed, Plusnet just need to make it clear on their own website.

Thanks, it just remains to be seen how long that will last.
