Does FTTC DLM work the same as ADSL2+ ?

Ii.e training period then possible increase in throughput ?

Openreach DLM. Starts allowing highest sync the line can attain. Applies to all FTTC connections inc. LLU.

Best not to mess during the first 2-3 days unless there is something obviously wrong.

Sync speed from that is used by BT Wholesale to set the IP Profile for non-LLU connections. BT Wholesale still rattle on about 10 days, but that's even more tripe than it was on ADSLx.

Sky use DLM at the lower sync to start off and increasing sync with the SNR to reduced over the next 2-3 days.

This thread is in the Plusnet forum and the OP has very recently moved to Plusnet FTTC.

I therefore took his question to be about the two DLMs affecting his connection.

In any case, you are wrong. Sky have no control of the sync or SNR on FTTC. Nor of the SNRM which I expect you meant when you referred to SNR. They will have access to the Super stable, (if that is it's correct name), Openreach setting. That would cause a lower initial sync, but nothing as dramatic as the 4Mbps they use on their LLU ADSL2+.
