Plusnet DNS servers unavailable again

This is really frustrating!
web pages taking ages to load at first, now not working altogether.

rebooted the BT infinity box as well as thompson router many times now still no change.
posting this from my mobile so excuse any typos

im on 80/20 fibre been fine till now.
212.159.6.9 & 212.159.6.10 are showing as not a available on the router status
compounding the issue is that u cant change dns servers on this stooopid (Thomson) plusnet supplied router

isp is growing too fast, and they making their signup offers even more agressive as well.

Who uses their ISP's dns servers anyway? every ISP i have had service from has had issues with their DNS at some point or other , And it doesn't help when they supply the thompson brick ,

I do. Of UK Online, O2 and Sky I had the most issues with UK Online. UK Online fixed the DNS issues when I produced evidence of their poor DNS servers in the form of logs.

I've had no gripes with O2 and Sky DNS.

So do I. Plusnet's DNS servers are far more responsive than the free ones out there. Pings are low 20s, while pings to freebies are low 30s or worse.

Well using DNS bench level 3 's DNS are the most consistant in giving the quickest responce time after time,

Yes UkOnline's DNS servers where flakey as where BE 's out of the two BE's where far worse, at that point i stopped using ISP's DNS servers

Possibly I was already with Sky when any DNS problems with O2/BE started.

Hi guys, we should have got this into working order at about 2am last night. Hopefully it's looking a lot better now?

Sorry for the problems.

I have never used anything but my ISP's DNS servers, barring a short experiment with Open DNS out of simple interest. I didn't observe any difference.
