This graph about right for FTTC?

Hey, I was just wondering if this graph is about right for a FTTC connection?

I keep getting peaks between 2am and 8am and don't know why, it's not a real problem though at that time.

Is the graph overall about right for FTTC or do you think it should be lower?

Looks very similar to mine, see link in sig. I also get the early morning spikes, didn't use to and I don't know why it is. Have you got a Samknows white box?

P.S. mine also has a spike on the hour every evening, which I'm told might have something to do with attempts to update the modem firmware

Are you using the technicolor router from plusnet?

Mine never did have that early morning spike, it use to be much cleaner.

Seems a bit odd. This is mine:

That's a connection that is idle most of the time. The evening latency is something new that came in with my move to PlusNet last month. Previously it was just flat and featureless.

imo both your graphs look bad and yes weird early morning spike.

your last comment is why I havent took plusnet blaming BTw as a reason, as other BTw isp's dont have these evening increases of latency.

Yes it's idle, especially between midnight and around 9am or so. There doesn't seem to be a real difference in that you can't tell when it's being used or not by looking at the BQM.

Agreed. Apart from looking odd it never seems to impact my service. I just assume PN is throttling ICMP packets on the grounds that they are unimportant.

Same here, it started a few months ago I think, doesn't cause a problem but very odd as the line isn't being used at all.

Yes, mine is. I don't have any problems with the connection in normal use, no noticeable slow-downs at any time.
