Is anyone else experiencing problems?

Is anyone else having problems this past week?

I've been having intermittent problems the last week or so, where my through put speed drops off and websites time out.

Sync'd with the exchange at 19.392Mbs
Attenuation 21.8db
Computers connected to the router through gigabit lan/ethernet cable

BTW IP Profile is 17.11Mbs
Plusnet copy IP Profile is 16.9Mbs
Plusnet Gateway is ptn-ag01

My next door neighbour is on BT Broadband, and he's let me test his broadband against my plusnet connection, and he is unaffected. This to me rules out a BTW capacity/congestion issue.

The backhaul from the exchange can be split, or the issue is not the exchange per se but some part of the network where it differs between BT Retail and Plusnet.

That was the point I was trying to make, it's somethng on the plusnet side.
Neighbour is on same telephone pole, cabinet and telephone exchange as me.

May be the Plusnet side, or a bit of the wholesale network still.

Not all providers follow the identical single path across the BT Wholesale network, even when on the same exchange.

My download speed has been right down yesterday, picked up a bit this morning but far short of the norm.

You mention your neighbour was unaffected. This does not rule out the kit in your house.

A couple of weeks ago I had a huge issue on speed, and Plusnet could diagnose no problem, but were going to take the tests further. As a had a spare router and modem, I swapped them both out and it solved the problem. I have not yet tested the two swapped out pieces of kit to see which was at fault, or maybe it was just disconnecting and connecting again that did it. However support told not to continue their checks.

Speed now dropped again!

throughput speed went backup to full speed after 11pm, has stayed up until just after 7pm and has slowed again.

I'm currently using neighbours bt wifi atm, as my plusnet broadband is virtually unuseable.
