So at the moment, am I right in thinking you are happy with the speed? Or do you sometimes get more than that? It all looks about right.

Have you any idea how much the SNR down varies over 24 hours? At the moment it should be at about its lowest point. Have you ever kept an eye on it?

Well I am happy enough with the connection in the fact that it is giving a the same results at peak or off peak but it does kind of niggle me that this line can do the 5 meg speed.
I have called Plusnet on past occasions and they have done something that resulted in my connection going up to give me that extra half a meg that seems a bit hard to get on a regular basis.

I have monitored the snr and it doesnt drop to low, im looking at it now at 1.24 am and it is 4.3 down and 9.0 up.

The line does seem to hold this sync wlell, for all I know the lost connection 9+ days ago might just been one of those things but when it happens it seems to cock up the speed.

For it to go faster you would need a sync of at least 6240, giving you an IP Profile of 5.5Mbps. That is just about possible given your attenuation, but I would be quite surprised if it was stable.

You didn't directly say I was right about your "bracket" meaning IP Profile. If you were, then that is what you have at the moment. Are you now saying that in the past you sometimes got over 5Mbps speed test results?

Connection - Plusnet UnLim Fibre (FTTC). Sync ~ 58.7/14.6Mbps @ 600m. - BQM

At the moment I am getting constant speedtest results around the 4.25 Mbps. In the past the line has given me the extra half a meg speed of approx 4.75 in speed results.
