sky's website claims they added line profiles that can be controlled by end user? I take it they lied then?

This is where the line profiles are modified I think. I'm not on Pro so I just see this:

I have heard that the system may still be rolling out to individual exchanges.

I'm told line profile config will be available by the end of this month - I'm not holding my breath though

have they gave a reason why the forums are censored? seems a bit elitist.

on the skyuser forums a moderator there some time back posted they would post the reasons for the censorship but then nothing got posted and all went silent on the subject.

Not as far as I'm aware

However, as the official BE forums were only available to BE or ex-BE customers, it does make sense

Maybe Sky don't want such technical discussion getting out

Someone has been banned for posting anotated contents of a PM from a Moderator already - that seems clandestine to me

I'm wondering how long it will be until I'm banned smile

That would be a brave move even for the Murdoch empire.

I think that's right. BE users were used to having a private forum so that's what they've been given. Also, the Pro forum is staffed by "premium" (ex-BE) support staff and they don't want the general rabble taking up their time I suppose wink

Hi nredwood,

I've had a catch up with the person dealing with the FTTP trial and they've informed me that we don't offer FVA so unfortunately we wouldn't be able to bring you across for FTTP and phone if you wanted to continue with FVA.

Sorry I'm not bringing better news! I hope you can get things clarified with SKY!

Presumably you could bring her across on FTTP and WLR copper phone?

Hi Linn

Thank you for looking into this. I did think this may be the case

I'll keep checking for any signs of updates in regards to PlusNet and FVA in the meantime

I have no issues with BT Infinity, so happy enough to stay with BT for the moment and I am now outside the initial 12 month contract

I just thought I'd explore options

My parents are with PlusNet after recommendation from me and are more than happy albeit restrained by a very long phone line
