They do usually come right in the end. Early responses are almost inevitably always from less experienced staff. It isn't something you can train in.

Connection - Plusnet UnLim Fibre (FTTC). Sync ~ 56.6/14.1Mbps @ 600m. - BQM

FYI - 070* numbers are 'personal numbers', sometimes known as 'follow-me' numbers. They are often assigned to hospitals for the bedside phone systems but also provided via loads of small companies to provide a 'one number solution', where a business can have one number that can be diverted to different mobiles or landlines as they wish, for service engineers maybe.

They are charged at a higher rate than a true mobile, to give the companies operating them a profit margin smile At one time they provided a good amount of revenue share to those using the service, but this was stopped following abuse.

As stated before, thanks to Douglas Young and Alex Knight at PlusNet, everything is 100% OK now, cheers to these guys for being good listeners, and getting everything sorted out quickly.

So, what exactly has happened? Has someone tapped your wires? Or other method?

honestly, not 100% sure, but PlusNet have refunded the cash, so unless it shows up again, I think I'm OK.

The link in this thread to a PlusNet forum made interesting reading though, with other people having probs with 0700 numbers being charged, I'll just keep checking my phone bill each day via PlusNets site, just in case!
