The BT Openreach engineer was quite surprised that Plusnet is still using separate modem and router for fibre. Are there any plans to start using the integrated one?
In my view separate router and modem is a much better idea, as the owner of AAISP also agreed. Having the modem means Openreach support the network to the modem - and any ethernet router can be used.
Its only because your engineer has mostly seen BT, Sky or TalkTalk installs, which have all-in-one boxes to make telephone support easer.
