You are lucky: my cousin has just got TT FTTC and all he got from TT was a modem/router, filters etc. and no engineer (not even Kellys) to check for sync from his house. He only knew that vdsl was activated after his adsl dropped sync and shortly thereafter connecting up the modem/router ("Super Router") on the day of the planned switch. However he is/was a TT full LLU user - guess that's what they call a "self install" and a good thing he didn't have any problems!

It doesn't say that. Therefore the information is misleading.

Surely that's why you need it unlocked, so you know why?

So just to be clear, your speed is down below what it should be and your connection drops?
