Doesn't answer the question about when but contains a bit more information.

Useful 'heads up' thanks. I changed mine 2 or 3 years ago after being greeted on a web page I'd not previously visited with my PlusNet username. My rdns hasn't changed and is still my IP (my original manual change). I can't see why it was ever thought to be a good idea to give out account username information like this.

Alert: If you are on a static IP and you had requested that Plusnet change the reverse DNS from the standard username.plus.com to something else it is highly likely it has reverted.

Thanks I raised a ticket yesterday when I noticed. Shame it went to account ID rather than just using a hostname based on the IP (e.g. xx-xx-xx-xx.plus.net)

Edit - looks like my custom rDNS is restored, looking at http://ipchicken.com/

plusnet unlimited fibre - 2 Jun 14 - 470m - 80/20 - Summer/dry sync 55/9.4, Winter/wet sync 52/9.1
15 years broadband (1999 ntl:cable trial) - Asus RT-AC68U with HG612 - BQM - Summer PN speed - Winter PN speed
