Hi,
I am hoping someone can help me with this.
I am trying to set up an FTP server on my local LAN for people on the internet to be able to access.
I run a Cisco ASA firewall as my broadband connected device, port forwarding is configured correctly.
Now the issue I have is that the ASA lets me see everything hitting the outside interface from the internet. When I FTP to my IP address I see nothing hitting the ASA, if I SSH to the address I see that hit the ASA no problem.
So I suppose my question is do PlusNet block FTP ?
I have conducted several port scans from the internet to my IP address and only ever see hits on the common ports, SSH, TELNET, HTTP, HTTPS.
If I scan for 20, 21, 25, 69 I see nothing hitting my outside interface.
I have checked my firewall settings on the members area and my Broadband firewall is off.
I have also seen while googl'ing the issue that people have enabled FTP port forwarding on their home routers to allow FTP into their LAN's from the internet so I am a bit confused as to why I do not even see the FTP attempt as I would assume the service should be there.
Any help would be very much appreciated.
regards
Rich
