With the feet tucked in you can also mount the router to the wall to get it out of the way.

No you flaming can't unless you dig a big hole in the wall to get the cables connected

Very odd that is as in specifications in two places it says: Wall mountable: No.

To be fair, you can probably wall mount it for storing (ie without connecting cables)..

They say that looks can be deceiving.... not in this case then, looks like [censored]... is [censored]!

Just like the Sky Sagem 2704n - or the Sky Hub's - which are all similar feature set. 2.4Ghz only WiFi is the killer in 2015 and for any FTTC.

Free router...what do you expect?

The 582n is working acceptably for me, since my ASUS broke.

Here is what the article's author say:

"Even if Plusnet is one of the cheaper internet service providers out there, that�s not an excuse to supply customers with such a poor router."

Perfectly adequate for a large proportion of their customer base I expect. There will be many whose kids have left home, and are perfectly happy with their Freeview TV. They probably have an iPad themselves, and may use Skype.

The adventurous ones may by now have an internet-enabled TV and use their broadband for catchup. It should be fine for that.

Most probably haven't got 5GHz wifi apart from the iPad. Perhaps the TV but 2.4will handle that.

You are absolutely right, although wireless performance appears to be very questionable. I think the review would be helpful for those unsure about what router to get and want to make sure that their router performs adequately and in line with their requirements.

Do Plusnet publish their routers' specs on their website, by the way? I can only see the guides on how to set things up.
