TR069 set up

If I want to use a different router to the PN supplied one, and the different router has TR069, is it just a case of connecting the router and letting it do the business, or do I need to input any connection details?

you need to input the details as Plusnet use the serial number of the router to set it up

Curious... if you give the router to someone else who is also on PlusNet... what will happen?

It can use the original owners login details which is why you need to disable Auto Setup via the Portal
However if you get a second router from Plusnet then that automatically overrides the first one as you can only have auto setup on one router

I have a feeling that may not be correct as a while ago I had some issues around multiple Plusnet provided routers. I can't remember now what we found out. There's a topic about it on Community somewhere.

I would suggest to disable TR069 on anything other than PlusNet supplied routers as the TR069 functions can (AFAIK) deploy new firmware, which would be a disaster (probably bricking it)if the firmware for a PlusNet supplied router was flashed into a different brand of router.
