Why would Cerberus Networks be supplying Home Hubs? I thought only BT Retail supplied them (other than they can be bought on the open market). They've also listed the only equipment that they will supply that conforms with these current BT MCT rules providing this OAM Loopback.
They've also stated they don't agree with the rules as they stand.
However, I agree that I don't believe this really hasn't anything to do with the issue being reported in this thread.

I got the beta from a link provided by Fritz!Box. I had registered an issue with them.

Post it?

I'm not sure if AVM would want this circulated, it's a TEST beta and, presumably they'll put it through their 'quality assurance' (delay) process before publishing as an official update.
I think a little pestering from those affected who haven't been emailed a link might be worthwhile.
I haven't received the beta for testing but I've upgraded to a 7490 anyway though I'd want the update whether I'm keeping the 7390 as a backup or selling it.

They specifically didn't want it circulated but as has been said I am sure if you create a ticket they will give you a link to it.

I'm sure anyone who has got the beta firmware is as pleased as punch. But however "sure" they are it does not help those of us that have reported it and have had no response.

I am not impressed by AVM's "need to know" secrecy. We know how to install firmware, and revert if it is not successful. It's beta, for heavens sake. That does not mean that all issues have been resolved. We know that.

Neither am I impressed that they are not forthcoming on the state of the submission and approval of the Fritz!s by BTW. Presumably we have to wait until we hit a problem then they will "look at it".

The Fritz! is expensive kit. and it's their job, not ours, to keep it compatible with UK regulation and BT equipment whilst they market it as such. It's not a fan club, but a commercial transaction.

Yes, expensive kit - Unloaded mine, as I found it always struggled for compatibility on a U.K.system.
