It was explained long ago anyway.

Basically they have their their traffic management system devised years before FTTC speeds were dreamt of and mass streaming didn't happen. This necessarily involves some buffering while priorities are assigned.

This doesn't basically affect latency much at all, though must do to a slight degree, but with FTTC speeds allied to hugely increased throughput volumes inevitably results in a top-end throughput limitation.

I might be consider switch to AAISP Home::1 80/20 because soon they will become unlimited usage!

Give it a few months and you will moan about them, you have been through so many providers, I am surprised there is any left for you to try.

Errr - no they don't?

Or have I missed something?

The new unlimited at £60pm is TalkTalk Business with no PSTN phone service. Only VOIP at extra cost - but I think that can be taken from other VOIP suppliers.

Unless an upgrade to Home::1 has been announced since then and I've missed it.

I think I better off buying leased line 1:1 fibre 300/30 from Openreach! My own provider!

That might not be quite correct tongue.

For instance, see these prices.

2MBps/2Mbps at £152pm, (I expect plus VAT), might be slightly above your budget. Never mind 300Mbps/nnn Mbps.

is a 1TB usage limit, capped to 3mbit/sec if the user goes over.

Well out of max's price range tho, he will stay on his retention plusnet deal.
