The site is not new . and I was able to access it 3 days ago .. Yes , it does seem like an accident if everyone else can access it and its the only site that doesn't work for me.....

Why should rebooting your router cause "training mode"? It is completely harmless to turn it off every night and on again in the morning.

That's good to know Roberto ,,, I thought the system picks it up as being unstable and raises your noise ratio to compensate .. I don't know if it works the same on fibre but I am just on normal adsl....

On ADSLx it is disconnecting/reconnecting several times in an hour that makes it raise the SNRM . You've nothing to worry about doing a single one.

Best done well inside daylight hours for highest sync.

I rebooted last night and my upload has gone down and the snr has increased but the download has actually increased .. Thanks for clarifying this ........

Ah, I replied to the post before the one saying you rebooted, and hadn't seen the one after it.

The noise margin is always reset at a re-sync/reboot to the level determined in the DLM. It then varies all the time depending on the actual noise. If noise goes up the margin falls, and vice versa. Which is why daylight sync's are normally faster, as there is less noise.

The figure immediately after it sync's is worth knowing, as that tells us the DLM setting, which us the one to worry about. It used to default to 6dB, but these days on a clean line it sets to 3dB.

No....I saw that one and posted right after ... I just rebooted again and got a some better stats now ..........I am pretty happy with plusnet especially the pings to BBC , I'm getting 8ms. Nothing like what I got with my old ISP........

Did your IP address change when you rebooted? But still can't get to the site?

You know I forgot to note the IP before I rebooted . but I am pretty sure it has as my online game says I am logging in from a different location .. Still can't get to the site...

You can get a new IP without rebooting. If you do a disconnect/connect via your router that stops and starts the PPP session without losing sync with the exchange and hence no risk of triggering training mode.
