Your recent posts(on other boards at least - I'm not up to speed here - have been questionable) ...

So now we have the tedious wait for Plusnet to announce their price rise ... followed by the even more annoying staggered e-mail notification, across a month or more, before customers can decide whether to leave or renegotiate.

On the reasonable assumption that the opening post is a fiction, you have no different a wait than you had before it was made smile. It's almost certainly going to happen, but probably towards the end of the year as usual.

In reply to a post by 23Prince:
Well I am on £48,99 infinity 2 at the moment. If I called me and recommended a provider in the £50-60 range I would suggest AAISP. I could sleep better knowing they would be ok. Also they don't seem to put prices up so clearly they have it right. 12 month contract agreed.

I guess the £50 fee can be worth it if you get with someone like Pulse8 who as you know do no contract. NowTV is also a good choice again because of no contract - there is a £9,99 connection fee which is the cheapest I have seen. The whole package is £29,99 a month for 40/20 or £37 for 80/20

I've not seen a single good thing about Vodafone. I think them and SSE with their free offering are the worst you can get.

It's a really tough call.

They want to cut down on price, they do not even mind going down to a lower speed now either, they only just about get over 60Mb/s anyway, so no great lost. they are paying almost £50 as well for Infinity 2, they have looked at the lower one, but still looking at £40 a month,. They used to have BTTV or what ever it is called these days, but they dumped that last year.

i did say about plusnet as to be honest It have been ok here and it is cheaper than BT, but adding the connection charge mean they will not save much for a while.

I said i will pop over in the week as I am off work this week and we can have a look to see what they want.

Don't forget about providers such as Aquiss, uno and vivaciti. Their allowance packages (with unlimited overnight and weekend) may be fine. Note that uno may be ex Vat so would need that adding.

Source please?
(As I wish to see if there is any indication of Internet only price increases - i.e. no PlusNet phone line).

I think Uno are still a joke.

On my BT line still nothing available, on TTB line only "Talk Surf"

About the only ISP I can find who is unable to give me any service, Even small vISP's I have never heard of can do it.

Or maybe he just blocked me, god knows. So out of the 3 that's UNO off the list it seems.

I know this was not for me but for someone else but I will also thank you for your suggestions and have a look at them.

Your TTB line is behaving as expected on the Uno checker. Mine went from giving me all options to only TTB options the day I migrated to Pulse8, preumablt because the BT checker won't respond to a non-BT line.

No idea what's happening with your BT line though.

it just stopped saying it could offer me anything, oh well. can't do much about that

A recent review stated the guy on the support desk sounded miserable, so that's also not encouraging.
