Re: Where does it show my contract end date?

Yeah, it makes no sense for BT to continue to operate three brand names! I'm guessing Plusnet will ultimately go, but no idea what the timescale will be for that.

Plusnet tried to scare me with dire predictions about customer service if I went to NOW, but their own is not much to brag about, although it used to be.

When I got dragged into a dispute between NOW & PN about which of them had messed up, I found NOW extremely patient and helpful on the phone, and their side of the story did turn out to be the true one, and not what PN were saying! So really, comparing the two of them, there is no reason to suppose that CS at NOW is significantly worse than at Plusnet, if at all.

It would be a shame if plusnet did go, I must admit Plusnet have been pretty good to me. the last time I contacted them was when my next door neighbour went from BT to Sky and Sky got the address wrong and I had an email from plusnet saying, sorry to hear you are leaving us, right after I recontracted. I had to get hold of Plusnmet to sort it out, they were ok. Next door was not so happy as they had to wait another week or so to get their broadband sorted. smile

They may be right about customer services with NoW, the last time I contracted Sky, for a friend I felt like I was banging my head against the wall and i think Now uses the same people for customer service.

To be honest, if money was no issue I would go for one of the smaller providers, like Zen, but then I have heard a few bad things about zen over the last few months.

i have a problem with my router now, not sure what to do, I don't really want to get another one from plunet that I may have to change over again in a few months, I want one that I can keep with who ever I go with as changing the smart home stuff is a pain in the neck, even if I use the same SSID.
I will have to have a look at what Now uses as sky uses a different system to connect as far as i know, something called option 61 what ever that is.

If you change the wifi password as well as the SSID all the devices should just carry on. But preferably do it before connecting a new router to anything but a device connected via ethernet. Not even to the landline.

Though via wifi is also possible. Causing connection to be lost until you log back in.

Connections: OnePlus 8 Pro on Three 4+ (LTE)/5G and at home Three Mobile, with (Three)ZTE MF286D router giving about 113/20Mbps.

The best of all possible countries.

The Echo units will, but the cameras won't, nor will the smart plugs, I tried it before and I had to go around every single one and reset them.
My computer is connected via ethernet, so i can always log in using this.,

But did you leave the cameras and smart plugs powered up and swap the routers before updating the SSID and password in the new router? My emphasis was on updating the new router off-line straight out of the box before connecting anything to it except the updating machine.
