I give up

I give up chasing sky to try get a router sent out, fed up of being told it was sent, then saying it wasn't, then being told it was being traced and could talk 10days.

I just rang to get my MAC and was told this takes 5days and will be posted out?

Every other ISP i've used this was done on the phone or if not on the phone took an hour or two and was emailed to me.

Why are sky awkward with everything

Argh, sky are doing my head in too. We've had there router since 1st March but still no Internet access!

I had my router 8th of December and got activated yesterday :P

Hope your wait wasn't as long as mine.

I can confirm that Sky do send the mac code through the post & not over the phone or through email.

Under the new MAC regulations an ISP HAS to give 2 ways to obtain a MAC, either by phone, email or post. It is up to the ISP what 2 methods they want to use, but CAN'T limit it to just on method.

Ok - seems like they have finally sent me a router this morning and they sent it next-day.

Just shows you if you are presistant enough they WILL send next-day.

I don't think i am going to test the theory , one good thing about the internet you can do your research before jumping in,i for one have been put off by what i have read here and over at Skyuser, i will wait until my exchange is unbundled and then give it more thought.
They really need to get the Customer Support sorted out.
