If that is the IP address that Sky has assigned to your router then yes, and they will need to connect to the port you have opened in your firewall rather than the default.
You can double check your IP by using the IP tool on the main TBB site here http://www.thinkbroadband.com/ip.html

The other thing to be aware of is that Sky uses dynamic IP addresses which means that your IP address can change over time, so you might want to have a look at a dynamic DNS service such as DynDNS that will allow you to use a static host name rather than a constantly changing IP address.

Ok I have tried that IP and it still says timed out for me?

Sounds like you haven't got your port forwarding set up properly, either that or the NAS isn't properly configured. The fact that it is a NAS makes no difference.
I don't know if trying to access a resource on your LAN via the external IP address will work, I can't think of a reason why it shouldn't, but from inside your LAN use the 192.168.0.2 address, from outside your LAN use the Sky IP address.

Steve thanks for the help its workingnow. However I now can't access the nas as a network drive I suspect that its either one way or the other. thats out with Buffalo at the moment.

The problem is that Sky change the IP of your router quite regularly, even if you don't disconnect and reconnect. I think you need to Google DynDNS.
