Going live next monday

Hi,

My line should be activated next Monday, I've just got a couple of questions.

I would like my line to be capped down at 6dB target SNR with interleaving off - who can I contact to ask for this? Where would be best?

Also, do I have to wait for ~10 days before I could request this, or could I do it straight away?

Best to leave it till the line settles after 10 days, I'm on day 9 now, it started off at 4095mbps and is now up to 19998mbps. You have to ring Sky support and ask to be put on the gamer profile

What is the gamer profile exactly? I've seen that mentioned a few times. Is it just interleaving off, or a combo of low SNR and no interleaving? I'd quite like the upstream capped at 448k as my line is a little longer (50dB) and it's much more stable with a lower upstream...

I may have typed the readings in wrong which would have been an oversight but do you normally talk to women this way, if so you need to learn some manners

Ok, gone live today; 4094k instead of ~5.5M via the BT (Fujitsu) MSAN I was previously connected to (attn has also gone up 1.5dB which I thought might happen).
Upstream is in at 605k

Will see how it goes over the next few days, might try to get the profile changed later in the week if I cant sync any higher.

This is the initial connection speed for all new customers.

"DLM" training will start normally within 3 days and you have have wait until the end of training before querying any speed issues with Sky.

Your speed will flunctuate whilst the training is taking place.
