Usenet Access?

Hi.

I migrated to Sky Broadband Unlimited on Wednesday after 2 years with O2. Things have generally gone well. Anyone know of a reason why i am unable to browse usenet? I'm a Giganews subscriber and i am unbale to view, update or download from any newsgroups from their servers. Had no such issue under O2. This occurs even using ssl.

The only way i can 'connect' to giganews servers is via thier VyprVPN service. Is Sky's unlimited service blocking usenet ports?

Sky are not blocking usenet however some people do seem to be having problems with Giganews but I've not seen it reported elsewhere

No problems at all with usenet. Giganews is working here but I use Astraweb, which is also going great guns
