Re: using diff router with sky when?

It's a sagecom F@ST3304N or 2304N router
4 ports but sadly no gigabit it seems.

i dont understand why gigabit is not standard on routers or at least anything but the cheapest of the cheap

i like many people use the router as more than just a plug socket to the internet, and i dont see the point in having extra hardware in my setup just to get gigabit between my PC's, media centre etc

I agree with this what's the point in having 300meg speed on wifi which in my view never ever goes anything near that speed but not including gbit Ethernet which always preforms well.

I thought recent Sky routers were the cheapest of the cheap smile

Apparently the new Sky sagem "N" router isn't to the full N spec, so it won't do 300meg.

Well, why wouldnt they use cheap ones. I mean if you dont like it you can just use your own..... Oh wait, no you cant...

Maybe we should question their 'worth £50' statement. smile

Think we're a bit unlucky ordering at the moment, as looks like they're issuing the 2304N which doesnt seem to actually be N, but there is the 2504N on the way which is...
