Finally ordered Sky FTTC, but..

I expected a sooner installation date than the 29th August. I generally thought they tried to fit you in under 2 weeks.

Oh well, guess I'll be stuck using a 3 dongle for almost 3 weeks.

It depends how busy Openreach are in your area.

I ordered yesterday and Sky booked it for 23rd August but that was changed today to 24th August by Openreach.

Has your exchange recently gone live? if so there are other cabinets to bring online and also a surge in broadband orders to install.

Until fibre becomes a self install product I think a 2-3 week timeline is fine.

I searched the BT Openreach twitter feed but Oldham wasn't activated this year, the engineers must be busy on surrounding exchanges.

If it was just activated there will be a backlog

Mine took 2.5 weeks.
