Slow Download Speed

Hi, recently changed from BT Infinity to Sky Fibre and was getting a average speed of 74mb with BT, but when I went to Sky and took the 38mb package, I was expecting to get full speed but I only average 26mb.
I have been in contact with Sky but the say that it was about right, I totally disagree. anyone getting better results on the 38mb package or any information to increase my speed

I moved a connection from Sky ADSL to fibre. Similar awful speeds are being seen. Maximum of around 30meg. The line is synced at full 40meg.

What's the router reporting for sync speed? Where are you doing your speed tests?

Not on fibre but I have noticed a slow down since the 30th. Similar to what I've seen before whereby I lose about1MB/sec consistently and constantly.

Simular here, I sync at the full 40mb service but can only average about 26mb, really difficult to get higher throughput, even with torrents running.

Are you all downloading by wifi or Ethernet?

I have tried both and get the same results.
