The mac code that presumably be issued should of been valid for 30 days from issue
You say 2 weeks cooling off period from sky ??? why, you did not enter into a new contract with sky if you did nothing and was automatically switched over ? you should be free to leave at any time without any penalty rolling 1 mth contract
But i guess that's typical of sky support staff to mislead you
