Sky Fibre Pro - static IP?

Thought I read somewhere that I can get a static IP with Sky Fibre Unlimited Pro ... but how do I get the static IP. I see no option to request/enable a static IP in my account.

MySky --> Profile & Settings --> Broadband Pro.

You can "order" it from there.

ive tried it twice over the last few month both times says sent but then get an email within 24 hours saying at this time we cant offer it at your exchange, really should of been rolled out fully before making it a public option they had enough time from announcing it to the option being available to select

Well ukonline were able to offer all their customers a static ip address before sky closed it down,
To say it is reliant on the exchange kit, makes me giggle to say the least, because i don't belive this jackanory from sky
at most it's some small config issue that they should be able to fix via a software update remotely to all exchanges, how or why this apparently takes them months is an example of how inept they can be

I've just had it confirmed from Sky that Static IP's are only being trialled at the moment.

I was coming to the end of my contract with Sky Broadband, and the only reason for staying with them and upgrading to fibre was that I was told during my cancellation call that they could, without a doubt, provide me a static IP as one of the main reasons for me cancelling and going to Zen or Plusnet, was that as far as I was aware, they couldn't provide it.

Had my fibre provisioned on Thursday last, and emailed them asking to confirm my static IP (I'd looked it up but wanted to make sure it wouldn't be changing) and was emailed back stating it was in a trial phase and they would not be able to provide me with a static IP at this moment.

Called their complaints team who immediately help their hands up, voided my 18mth tie in and passed me to cancellations. I'm now moving Phone and Broadband to Plusnet.

That's another line that they spout to customers they are trialing static ip's , what exactly is there to trial with a static ip address. ?

SNS are not inept.
