Finally left Sky

I finally left Sky on Wednesday

I gave the reason for leaving as faster speed

Was offered 12 months free broadband which I declined

I've now also upgraded to BT infinity Option 3 with speeds up to 200Mbps down and up to 20Mbps up - didn't negotiate a very good deal but being free of Sky wa relief enough

Upgrade happens next Wednesday

Also went for BT TV

Was tempted to go for Option 4 which is 300Mbps down, but £50pm was a little too much.

Sounds as if your FTTP is proving to be good then!

Do you miss static IP at all ? That was the reason I moved to Plusnet as BT don't offer it, and I missed this from my BE days.

Early days yet in terms of any real usage since the cap was removed last week when I placed the order last week

Have been seeing signs of possible congestion - buffering on YouTube and other streaming services, but nothing I'm not used

Went live with Option 3 today

Yet to do a proper wired speedtest and switch to the HH5. Have a long weekend to sort things out so will have more time to play

Went for BT TV Essential package as well - finally recording ability with the YouView+ box

I'd miss the static IP if my PC hadn't died over a year ago

I really miss not having stats or the ability to monitor my connection, but there really isn't any need on the broadband side of things

Just having double the bandwidth I do at work is astounding at this point
