Thanks both of you. I am a little clearer now. Think of it as my brain is not fried, just sauteed.
I have both landline and broadband with Zen.I can use the BTWholesale speedtest and get the speed results but when i try to use Further Diagnostics I get an error saying "The Performance Tester is currently unable to run a speed test for your broadband connection".

In reply to a post by RobertoS:
Zen is a confusing ISP as it is listed by some sites, particularly samknows, as being an LLU supplier. It isn't. LLU means a provider has its own ADSLx MSANs or DSLAMs in the actual exchange. As far as I know Zen does not have any.

They do. You'll often see their LLU (on-net) lines tagged with their name. If they were BT Wholesale, you'd see that and likewise, if they were Talk Talk Businss LLU lines, you'd see that.

Zen have a presence in around 450 exchanges. They have their own MSANS and connect to the Openreach GEA cablelinks.

They also use BTWS and TTB for exchanges they don’t have a presence in.

Thanks Matt. I "stay at home" corrected. But surely I'm right in how their LLU started? It used other CP's kit in the exchange?

My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk. Domains, site and mail hosting - Tsohost.
Connection - Three 4G, tbb tests normally 35-45Mpbs down, 65Mbps off-peak, 9-24 up.

Zen do actually have PoPs at some exchanges with ADSL, FEA FTTx and even ethernet.
The above post has been made by an ISP REPRESENTATIVE (although not necessarily the ISP being discussed in the post).

I'm happy with Zen. If I was sure about my situation I would take out another years contract with them no problem.
