AAISP and Be

I'm surprised this blog post hasn't attracted any comment....

Looks as if AAISP have had enough of Bt and the issues surrounding 21CN. At least they look to be offering links to an alternative alternative network in an effort to do something about the shambles that BT is currently becoming.

It's only what lots of providers are doing now though.

A few Enta resellers have gone down the LLU route - fine for those lucky enough to have decent exchange offerings...

If this takes hold, BT will be left with the unprofitable rural/semi rural areas, whilst the LLU operators take them to the cleaners in the urban areas.

Shame BT don't spend a few hours reading TBB to see what people think about their service, IP Profile system, Target SNR issues, etc., etc.

Rather than learn from TBB no doubt they spend 100s of £1000 getting 'reports' done by consultancy firms that know how to waffle

I wish they chose easynet for LLU then I would be back to aaisp quickly since easynet support SRA.

I think Telefonica/Be do as well, if you switch it on.. that's what I've been hearing anyway.

Hopefully A&A will get control of the parameters of the line.. no more DLM and the ability to change all sorts of stuff not just SNR/Interleave. I believe they're pushing for it but of course it's all down to Telefonica what they're prepared to do.

Having both lines on separate providers will give me some form of resilience, at last.. BT are a single point of failure right now, and boy do they fail.

It would be nice to see the tables turned on them for a change.

As an ex-AAISP customer who was 110% happy with them and only left due to BTs complete and utter incompetance and ability to not keep messing with a reasonable line and making it virtually unuseable, I've seen the problems they've had first hand.

Unlike other ISPs, A&A will actually talk to you and tell you what's going on when you have problems, rather than hiding behind a cloak of silence that most ISPs I've been with do.

If only A&A could get a slice of the cable action that would make them my ideal ISP!

aaisp are by far the best isp I have had for communication and ability to deal with problems.
