ADSLx to FTTC migration

[link to this post]

In the AAISP pricing structure, (as opposed to what BT Wholesale may charge), does this count as a migration, so no connection charge, or does it count as a chargeable new connection, (£49.95?)?

Edit - to clarify I mean AAISP pricing not BT/general.

As far as I know regarding BT pricing for FTTC.. it is a chargeable migration. There is also a new connection charge which is much higher (from memory).

I think all migrations on ADSLx are charged by Openreach?

I meant specifically the AAISP pricing policy, whatever the charge to them by BTW.

My FTTC migration is being charged at £49.99 although it says 'Migration from existing LLU provider' and I'm migrating from BT.. blush

I'm assuming the text is just wrong because there's no entry for 'FTTC upgrade' yet as the charge sounds right.

Seeeing as RevK hasn't answered - but he's not supposed to be a fulltime forum answerer smile - it'll be interesting to know what if anything you finally get billed.

It's the sort of thing I like to include when recommending ISPs.

Hi, sorry for delay!

FTTC is same regardless. BT are not charging us differently whether new install or change from BT ADSLx sadly.

http://aaisp.net.uk/broadband-FC.html explains. I seem to have lost the link to that on the main pages.

Yes, thanks - that's clear enough smile.

Ah - (edit) - further thought.

I assume that actually includes installation of the BT modem and ethernet link in the premises? In which case it's an OK deal I think.
