2022.01.27 - 11:56 Email from A&A advising that the transfer is due to be completed on, or shortly after, 10th Feb.
2022.02.10 - Prior to 08:00am dialling tone removed from our BT line and replaced with a message: "This is line number one. This is a monitored broadband only copper pair provided by Andrews and Arnold. Do not disconnect or re-use this pair. Andrews and Arnold circuit number wxyz This is line number one. Quiet line test."
2022.02.10 - Tried to make an outgoing call via my ATA, but no dial tone on VoIP circuit. Strange since I already had my ATA configured for A&A and only had to change from my "testing" A&A number to our BT number. Spoke with A&A and they could see that my ATA was not shown as registered. I re-keyed the same SIP Password into ATA and all OK. Obviously a "feature" of my Cisco ATA 191 that any change in that section requires re-entry of the password.
Outgoing calls now VoIP from a temporary dedicated phone until such time as BT complete the porting of our incoming calls on our "old" BT number to Andrews & Arnold VoIP.
This happened sooner than expected, since the following day, 2022.02.11 at 07:27am received first Incoming call via A&A VoIP. Renumber and Export complete.
All in all a very smooth professional process, with the only hiccup an own goal on my part (aided by Cisco!), which was quickly identified with a brief telephone call to A&A.
A big thank you to all the A&A staff who assisted in initially resolving an Openreach line fault and advising on the Renumber and Export process.
Cheers!
Clive
