This is how for the ST585v6... maybe it will work

Assuming windows operating system

Open a command prompt.

now type...
telnet 192.168.1.254

You will be asked for a username/password
[By default the username is Administrator and the password is blank.]

At the prompt type the following commands:

{Administrator}=>service system ifadd name=PING_RESPONDER group=wan
{Administrator}=>saveall
{Administrator}=>exit

Thanks, but this form of the firmware does not allow you to modify anything. I would have been able to with 6.1.4.3 but gave up on this one as it was always cutting out.
Thanks anuway.
