Some crossed lines here. Reading through the recent posts it sounds like there was light to the ONT, hence the flashing PON, but that the light was connected to the wrong SASA in the splitter node.
Because ‘it wasn’t tagged’ in the splitter, the engineer couldn’t ID the correct fibre from Tim’s place , so as to be able to splice it onto the correct SASA as per routing.
The reference to a circuit down the road suggests ID’ing a working circuit on the correct SASA, and using this to prove where Tim’s fibre actually was.

A right malarkey ….sounds like this last Openreach bod on site was pretty clued up. (Apart from dissing the copper, he could just have asked, would have saved a bit of grief)

I opted for 115/20 speed as it was the cheapest option. Just tested my wifi with iperf and it can do 436 mbit on average. So if I were to regrade the 500 mbit would suit instead of 1G and save a bit of moolah. Decisions.

Guess what I have signed up again with Plusnet through One Touch Switching based on the information screen saying it was a remote switch and no engineer visit required on the Plusnet order page.

Filled in my AA account number with PN and a few moments later AA emailed me telling me the switch had started. I have picked the 15th for switch date, hope PN get this order right.

The reason I have switched is the speed and price and constantly watching what I am downloading because of the AA 1TB limit.

Pricing? https://www.uswitch.com/broadband/providers/plusnet/ Plusnet Full Fibre 500 looks like a good deal if a 24 month contract is acceptable...

My next door neighbors have just had FTTP installed. OR did the external ug work and after a few days a Sky engineer came and did the final exterior to interior connections. Probably a good thing he didn't encounter similar problems otherwise I would imagine OR would have to return and correct the issue...

Went for the 900 deal with PN and reward card last night and have switchover date of 15th Sept. My main pc is ethernet so should see the full 900.
