Just created my first Monitor -100% packet loss so far!

Hi I have Just created my first Monitor
Left it a couple of hours and just had a look at it.

I am getting a solid red bar on the right of the monitor looks like it's from top to bottom which means I am getting a 100% packet loss so far!
can that be right?

The chances are that your router blocks ICMP Echo Request (pings) from the Internet and/or your IP address is wrong. If you have a dynamic IP address, BQM will not work for you, though other services such as f8lure will.

I thought I had a static IP address but my memory's getting awful lately.

As David_W states, the 100% packet loss is normally down to the router blocking ICMP pings.

Which router are you using?

It will work with a dynamic IP address until an event causes that IP address to change and then you will see the red wall appearing.
That's why you need a static IP address.
