does it reflect internal problems?

does the quality tester reflect internal problems like interference on the line by ringwire etc? someone on SKY forums im trying to assist has had problems with high SNR and low sync and slow speeds/latency - the TBB Quality tester shows sudden increase at 5:45pm and instant stop at 9:30pm dead on...no gradual curve before and after as one would expect with exchange congestion, plus congestion normaly goes on until 11pm.. would this reflect something "turning on" and causing interference? or does the TBB QT not reflect that? I would imagine it does .. but thought I would ask

It reflects anything that can cause changes in latency between the pingbox and the device it is pinging.

If noise margin reductions are causing packet restransmits or packet loss it would show up, but a sharp cliff often simply reflects a very big file download.

thanks andrew, he has sharp cliff then extreme packet loss & high latency for almost 4 hours then sharp cliff, as far as im aware he has not been downloading any files during that time, I will have to ask.
