Just a follow up,

Still getting this packet loss issue, it seems to have it's good and bad moments.

Comparing it to my work connection (Plusnet) it's chalk and cheese (given that the work connection seems to suffer a little at peak time).

My initial plan was to just jump ship onto FTTC at first opportunity however the prospect of 12/18month contract and there being an issue like congestion or packet loss worries me.

Looking into the likes of ADSL24 that also use the Be/o2 equipment I've been told they use a separate wholesale network for data. I assumed any ISP using Be/o2 were simply reselling with no difference from using Be themselves.. The main pro of this is 1 month rolling contract so is it likely if I was to switch to this I wouldn't be having this packet loss issue?
