Seen worse and seen better.

A lot depends on what you were doing with your own connection too. Higher jitter which the yellow represents is generally expected.

Main times to panic is when lots of red appears or the blue area gets wider.

My cable is almost the same, I restarted my SH2 last night, but all Virgin BQMs have a lot of yellow jitter.

Speeds however are fine here in Belfast.

Since this fault occurred last September / October, all my downloads from ANY sites are around 300 to 500kB/sec or less (with around 20% halting & failing).

However, I've just discovered that if I download something via
http://download.cnet.com/ where the actual download links to files in a sub directory of http://software-files-a.cnet.com/
They all seem to download at around or in excess of 4MB/sec and so far have always finish without failing.

I don't normally use download.cnet.com because I use linux 99% of the time. But it was interesting that that is the only place I can get fast reliable downloads (which are of no use to me & just used as a random download test hehehe )

Traceroute may hold the key to this, I guess, in the respect that http://software-files-a.cnet.com/ doesn't seem to go outside of the virgin / ntl network (someone correct me if i'm wrong):-

I'm in Gosport, near Portsmouth here. From what I can gather, although some others on VM cable in my local area are suffering from speed drops at peak times or congestion in general, i've not seen anyone else on the VM community forums say theirs is quite like mine is. I guess I'll just have to wait until the networks team have looked into it further.
